Featured Artist Noel McCloskey As a part-time student in the NCAD I studied Fine Arts and Graphic Art. Qualified Design. For the past twenty years the study and teaching of Calligraphy has been my principal artistic interest. I am a founder member of "Peannairi -The society of Irish scribes". As well as the actual lettering I have taken a keen interest in the methods used in the monastic scriptoria and have developed some competence in preparing and stretching vellum, flat and raised gilding, cutting and using quills and reed pens, tempera painting and the hand binding of books.
