Featured Artist Niamh McDermot "I grew up around a lot of wildflowers and other wild things. I learned to draw from drawing the local travellers' horses which would sometimes lift their pegs and run around the neighbourhood in a little band until they were caught." Niamh has a three year old boy and has returned from London to live in her native town of Carrick-on-Shannon.

Featured Poet Eileen Casey Eileen Casey currently lives in Dublin. Her poetry has appeared in Poets Aloud Abu, The Salmon, Flaming Arrows, The Waterford Review, Dublinspeak, The Acorn, The Works: Vols, 2, 3, 4, 5, Reality Magazine and others. She also received an international award for her poetry in 1993 and also in that year she published a creative writing collection entitled "Under the Pyramid". She has won many awards for her work here in Ireland. A creative writing tutor with the V.E.C., Dublin, she is actively involved in encouraging emerging writers.
